Installation

Prior to installation make sure you have a server pc ready for installation, please check the pre-requisite for the server in previous section.

In order to begin installation, download the latest copy of software in zipped ISO format following location.

Important Note: The unzipped ISO image is NOT a CD/DVD disc image, therefore you will not be able to burn to CD or DVD, you also cannot mount it as virtual media. This is a USB flash drive / Hard Disk image. You can either burn this to a USB flash drive or any Hard Disk Drive. Once burnt you can then begin installation. Please follow instructions below. If you follow the instructions below you will not have any issues.

Once you have downloaded NDW_Server_Rel-4.5_USB.iso.zip file, please unzip it.

NDW_Server_Rel-4.5_USB.iso.zip file has size of approximately 2.7 GB, after unzipping the file name is NDW_Server_Rel-4.5_USB.iso and file size is 4.00 GB

You will need a minimum 4 GB USB flash drive. Now burn the ISO image file NDW_Server_Rel-4.5_USB.iso to a usb flash drive.

If you are a Windows user, please use rufus application to burn the ISO image to USB flash drive. Please refer to rufus guide. (You may google to find instructions)

If you are Linux user, you can use dd command to burn the image to USB flash drive.

in Linux for example, dd if=./NDW_Server_Rel-4.5_USB.iso of=/dev/sdb status=progress

Explanation: dd is a linux command to burn image, if=./filename is your source image of=/dev/sdX is the usb flash device status=progress will display the progress of image transfer to USB drive. (Please check the usb device name using dmesg)

After successfully burning the image to usb flash drive, you are now ready to begin NDW installation.
